You can take $5k each in cash. And unlimited if it is Travellers checks.ON Travellers checks you are going to pay commission and crap. I do not personally recommend it. I do not know how it is working now adays. You can check on department of homeland or customs website to find exact amount that you can take as cash. And do not take more than what is recommended.

Hi guys,
Some of may think "Wait for the actual letter to come" but I feel too nervous and just want to share my thoughts. I applied for EB5 and my I526 was approved. Then I applied adjustment of status and got an I485 RFE. Have not got the letter yet but got the email that my case is on hold right now. Can you tell me about the RFE? Is that common? Is that the first step of denial? I'm so nervous right now. I will write what they are asking when I got the letter which I'm expecting on Tuesday or Wednesday. Thank you very much.
These days people are figiting wrong ful denials through MTRs. RFEs are common and one does not have to worry about RFE. Just wait for your letter and respond accordingly. There is no "first step" for denial - if your case is approvable it gets approved - if not it gets denied - period.

I am totally lost on what to do.
I read in the other post that if PD become current in the bulleting then Iwill be in trouble if I have not filed for spouse. I am lost with this !!

Hi,
My current Attorney could not inform my employer for H1B RFE. H1B RFE supposed to be submited by May 25th. however Attorney only informed today about the RFE. Employer needs a week to submit RFE. can we submit RFE after RFE submission date ?

Can somebody please throw some light on this issue.
I have an approved H1extn till 2013 but I had moved to the new location and new project since then but I don't have a new LCA. And now when I'm planing to go to india and appear for visa stamping I don't have the new LCA for my current location.
When I asked my lawyer, she said that I need to apply for fresh H1 extn. This doesn't make sense to me, Can I only get new LCA for my new project location ?
Do I need to get my H1B amended with this change ?
Please help me on this ...

That can be an issue in H1 transfer because he may be asked to prove that he has maintained valid status ( as there is no such things as bench on H1). This is a only a potential issue, not a showstopper as I know of transfers done without paystub.
- He had signed a contract for 2 years and some ridiculous amount of money towards damages in case he leaves
This is merely a threatening exercise by the employer to keep him from leaving. It does not have any legal bearings. I have done it myself in past.
What are his options now? What if the employer sends H1B cancellation before he gets to file a new petition through the new company? Can anyone please help?

But if USCIS revokes H1 before the transfer request is recieved, then you are out of status and your new application will be denied.

My company is in a different state. I am consulting and hence working in a different state. Do we specify the job location in PERM application ? If yes, does it matter that I am working at a different location ? I am working on applying PERM in EB-2. Thanks.

I recently took up a fulltime job and I was told that drug test will be taken few days before the join date. Also the employment is contegent upon succefull drug test and background test.
My concern is, I need to give 2 week notice to my present employer . If drug test and background test are not done before 2 weeks of join date, how can I be sure things don't go wrong for some or the other reason in checking. My records are clean in US and I don't forcee any problem.
SO is this common to conduct drug test few days before join date...?? It is a common practice and very simple process. If you are not into it, you don't have to worry.

I have filed for the position for "Progammer Analyst " in company A. I applied for I485 after I140 approval and it has been more than 180 days. I work for company B but in totally different position(unrelated to programmer analyst).
I just got a job of "Programmer cum Instructor" from company C who is transferring my H1. I do not know if I can invoke Ac21 or not. In case yes, then I think I will never have to join company A. Am I right ?

I applied I-485,EAD,Advance Parole on July 20,2007 but i have not yet received any receipt number as of now.
During that time I could not able to apply for my wife. She will be coming to USA on H4 visa in the mid of October.
what are the possibilities to include her in my greencard process?
Please educate me on this situation to take care of my wife's greencard process with my GC process and also please share your experiances if some one has similar kind of situation.

My I-140 approved. Based on the July 2007 Visa Bulletin revision threat on June 30th, I have prepared and submitted I-485 package with all necessary documents along with approved I-140 copy. I sent the package to Nebraska Service Center and it reached on July 2nd. In the last minute, my company also submitted the I-485 package. My company sent the package on July 1st and reached on July 2nd at Texas Service Center. This was happened due to some communication gap between my company and me.
My questions are:
1. Will there be any problem if there are two package submitted? One from me and one from my company law firm?
2. Will they reject one of the package? If so, which one will be returned?
3. Is it possible to withdraw one of the package?

Thank you very much for the info. I've always loved photography just never found the time to learn all these things. Seems like I am making up for lost time now. I might keep the 28-80 since it came with my Rebel 2000 and I got it for my bar mitzvah. I wish I didn't though, since I would probably sell everything. I might just sell the 100-300 and get the D70. I guess I could get the 300d, but it looks like my rebel and doesn't look as nice as the D70. Who knows, I am going to a couple of camera shops to fool around with them to make my mind up. Thanks for the information.
