1) This is a new low for Samsung. Apple had a specific complaint about a specific device. Now Samsung replies with this patent nonsense? Really it makes Samsung look desperate and weak.
2) I bet one day in the near future Samsung will regret this move. Apple will source other fabs for their business. Micron, AMD's spun-off foundry, heck even Intel would probably work something out just for Intel. These American companies wouldn't steal Apple's IP.

Finally, still confused as to why there is no 7200RPM drive option for the 15".
I wanna order with a glossy screen but i'm scared i wont be able to return this if it has probless. Isnt glossy screen a BTO option?
ANY change from the default spec is BTO (or CTO). The tech specs pages says:
"15.4-inch (diagonal) TFT display, support for millions of colors; optional glossy widescreen display"
Sounds like glossy is BTO to me.

It came out yesterday. Not a couple of hours ago. I stream Sirius radio on the weekdays at work and I notice a difference in the battery usage.

Anyway, off to order my GSM version online, and then to enjoy my Verizon white 32GB at work while I'm not drafting contracts & wills.

It says it used different frequencies... but then how can people jailbreak/unlock their iPhones and use it on T-mobile?

I think it's best if Vista is avoided altogether. The best way to avoid problems with Microsoft is not to give them any money and not to load any of their software on your computer.
At work here we just discovered that upgrading to Internet Exploder 7 causes two of our most important Internet based products to not work properly. They ever heard about backwards compatibility or testing at Microsoft? Just reinforces my reasoning for not sending Microsoft almost $300 to subject myself to their newest software fiasco. I think I'll do something more rewarding and pleasurable like jab a Bic pen into the palm of my hand.

Ok, so AT&T definitely drops calls; that's a given it seems...but for current customers is the dropped calls enough of a pain to leave AT&T/iPhone and go to another carrier??

with Apple it is in AAC that can be converted to MP3, whereas Amazon sells just the MP3.
Are you saying mp3 cannot be converted to aac? It certainly (and easily) can be done. You can even use iTunes to do it. It isn't the greatest idea as you aren't going to gain any quality and will almost certainly lose quality, but the exact same thing would happen converting aac to mp3.

Agreed, why would you put a case around an iPhone 4 - you trying to make it UGLY, most cases just scratch the back of th ephone anyway as dust/dirt gets in there and just rubs between the case and the phone.

All that matters is that Apple makes huge sums of money so we can brag about it here.
