I would guess part of the reason is the "White" Iphone was just released and they are hoping they can unload them all.
All I can say the new one better have a 4" screen, 8Meg Camera, More memory, IOS 5 and a faster processor. What else did I miss :)

This is almost the standard specification for most Android phones any more so I don't think I'm asking for too much.
Backwards, they knew they were going to delay iPhone 5 so they saved white iPhone 4 so they'd have SOMETHING to release between 4 and 5.

Don't believe it. The reports about it keeping the same design make sense.
The article says it was wrong about Ipad 2 having a memory slot.
3"7 funny..if they were going to make it bigger it would be a 4". I reckon if the other reports are true it should stay 3.5".

I question the same, I liked that a lot, hope it's configurable :( and what about the classical popping sidebars? I don't like the way new Preview handles them inside the window and it seems like this is the way of future, how sad :( I'm not very fond of Mail styled buttons, probably the only Mac design element I don't like very much..

Give it up already. This is not true. The only image you could trust is the one looking straight on for both phones and they look the same in that one. All the rest use perception to make one look thicker.
And the case issue? LMAO!
1. Apple would tell case manufacturers if this were a problem so that they could prepare.
2. The difference in thickness would be minimal (10%?? No way). So only a few cases would be affected so owners of white iphones would have to selected from a smaller variety of options. If this were a true story that is.
The only people who could possibly get upset would be owners of black iphone 4's who bought a white iphone 4's and want to use the same case. But how many people actually bought an iphone 4 less than 6 months ago and are now buying the same phone again just for the color?

white iphone is ugly late and unnecessary so apple can keep it.. they never made it cause demand was always lower for white ones and the white design look worse on iphone 4 than on 3gs..
I guess it's just a matter of preference. I personally think the white iPhone 4 is gorgeous, while my white 3g always reminded me of an Oreo cookie.
And it seems like the demand for the white one has been pretty high since they unveiled it last year. Not to mention they have produced white iPad 2's which seem to be pretty popular.

Between him and Cryer, that's still half of what the show brings in. And you're still not factoring in production costs.The show is filmed at and owned by Warner Brothers so I assume the production costs are eaten in with the rest of the studio. Not sure if the crew gets anything above union wage.

Folders still animate poorly in Launchpad (opening and closing) and transitions to and from full screen mode on Safari is a little choppy.

Great game so far, who ever said I'll have loads of issues gaming on a PS3 must be dreaming and should probably get an upgrade from a dial-up speed Internet..
Everyone has to bash PSN because its free, only problem I have with that game is people playing CTF for kills...camping with the flag. NFS: Hot Pursuit is a good game, just got it monday and so far I like it, a lot better than GT5

If this requires case manufacturers to make a case specifically for the white iPhone on both carriers, I wouldn't be surprised if they just said screw it, were not making one. Apple released the white iPhone because they said they would, I don't think enough will be sold where it makes sense for case makers.
No they won't. Imagine being the only manufacturer that offers a case for the white iphone. They could produce a turd shaped cover and still make millions because it's the only option out there. If the story is indeed accurate, I bet case manufacturers have already prepped their new molds by now.

Why? The biggest and the most obvious reason is that developing for and porting software to OS X becomes more attractive to developers. Greater market share also helps Apple in its dealings with major partners like Intel and Microsoft.
The other big benefit for consumers is that we may see more product offerings from Apple as the number of macs sold increases. How about that Mac media center everyone's been talking about? Or the fabled Mac tablet?
