I came US on h4 visa .One employer had filed for my h1b last year,and they said i got the approval.but the employer had no job for me as part of recession.So I am still on h4 .Will I loose my H1 approval.How long is the validity of h1b approval ?:confused:

If one changes to a new employer after 180 days,
How much support (documentation etc) does he/she need from the ex-employer or the ex-employers attorney?
After 180 days, so I assume I'll have the receipt notice and hopefully EAD and AP (also have I-140 copy).
for 6 months. and W2 if applicable.

Hi all,
Thanks for your time...please help.
My I-140 Denied couple of months back and I Appealed (I-290B) this decission with all the evidences to prove my exp & employer's ability to pay.
On June 11, 2009 I got the email from USCIS saying my I140 was approved On June 11, 2009.
But, on June 10, 2009 (previous day) USCIS denied my I485 as well as my wife�s I485. Please let me know, how to reopen both of these�

To my knowledge, this can be expected when 140 gets denied.. But when you get your 140 approved by MTR or other, you can initiate a process to re-instate the 485 and other which were filed before. Talk to a good attorney and I'm sure you'll be OK.
Take it easy and you'll be OK. Dont panic.. I have read that its not unexpected..

Its a good consolidated report, It clearly says system is broken and need a fix. Almost all the legislation listed at the end talk about either recapturing lost visas or increase the numerical limit.

That is true. However, it is not difficult to figure out that Ruth is a supporter of legalization of the undocumented. That's why the only bills covered at the end of the report are all legalization bills. She seems to have "extensive" analysis on per-country limits on EB &FB, but doesn't have the ink to write 1 line about country limits on the undocumented. The report systematically and intentinally overlooks all other bills that are related to legal immigration only. Most of the time, its not what is written, but who wrote it and how the information is presented which matters.

You can immigrate base dupon family sponsorship, employment or just the point system without employment.
I qualified by point system without employment offer. You can take the test on line for free to see if you qualify by the point system.

Could someone please point me to a Marriage Certificate Translation service9s)?
It's in Marathi and has photos, legal fee stamps and seals on it and I would like to retain the look as much as possible.
I kinda searched this website, but the search engine doesn't take you to a specific post in a thread. Instead it just brings up all threads that contain a post with the search keyword. After navigating through a few pages with no luck, I gave up and hence the (potentially redundant) question!
With another opportunity for Adjustment of Status around the corner, I want to get this asap.

Oh for windows development you would want to look into WPF. The basic idea is to change the border style for the window to none (don't know the exact c++ way, but a google search should show). Then you will want to draw your own windows and drag areas.

wait until you get ur SSN before you file.
you would have to file 2009 as F1 (so 1040NR) NR meaning non resident.
2010 onwards you file as a resident (for tax purposes) so that means you file regular 1040.
Have you ever filed a tax return before? If so do you havean ITIN (in lieu of SSN)?

Not sure, I have alot of pencils with different materials and shades and I normally just pick some at random when I draw. lol, but it probally was. I also got some ruler looking thing which I just recently figured out was for shading. :)

My son was > 21 years of age when my I-140 was applied (Aug 07). So I guess I can forget it.
