Yes, It seams to be executing the code and inserting the variables correctly. I also ran ran the microsoft net monitor. I see the first instance of each button pushed but subsequent pushes are not sending the http requests.

Your first part of the question, so if I find an employer in Canada, then can I work for that company in the US without loosing the PR dates ? Are there are any complications to this ?
What about the spouse and children, can they stay in the US too or do they have to stay in Canada ?
Is the PR years counted only for the principal applicant or for all applicants?
Any help would be appreciated.

While driving back , at POE the process is simple. Always show your AP before passport and they will let you in. Never show the passport before the AP.

Can my current company continue my GC even if I transfer my h1 and join another company?
Priority date - May 2007
I-140 Approved - Jun 2008
Waiting for date to be current to file I485 and my current company is ready to continue the GC process even if I transfer my H1 to another company.
Your expert advise will really be a help for me to take decision on this , is it wise to change h1 now?

Does anyone have experience with expedited H1-B filing? The one that you are supposed to receive the answer in 15 days. I am just wondering if it really works and if it is possible to hurt your petition by filing expedited?

I have the following status working with the original H1B employer who filed for my green card petition:
1) PD Jan, 2007, EB3-I
2) I-140 approved and pending AOS
3) 2 yrs. EAD available, expiring Sep. 2011
4) H1B will be expiring within 3 months (1 year left from 6 years limit)
My questions,
1) Can I use EAD instead of extending H1B? I want to stay with the same employer as a
full time employee.
2) If yes, is it required to inform INS? How and when?
3) In that case, how me, my son (middle school student, H4 & pending AOS) and wife's (EAD & pending AOS) stay in US will be justified with no valid I-94 (assuming I am not extending H1B anymore) ?
Answers to my above questions will be highly appreciated.:confused:
Answers:
1. Yes you can.
2. You do not need to inform INS as such; all you need to do (when you change from h1 to EAD) is to fill out new I-9 form with your employer. Ask your employer/HR dept and it is very easy form to fill out; that basically changes your job status from "H1 to EAD".
3. As long as their AOS is pending, they are all legal; I 94 does not matter. They are in authorized period of stay. Of course, their H4 status will be gone.
Only issue in doing this, is just in case, (by bad luck or something) if your 485 gets denied, then all three of you may not have anything to "fall back on". That is the one risk you take when you let your H1 go. Other than that, make sure everyone has AP (whenever they travel outside) and EAD (if they work/study) and you will be fine.

Sorry to hijack your thread but I didnt want to start multiple threads on the same issue, along similar lines where can I find the actual law on H1B portability on I 140.
I have a offer but the immigration dept of the company says it cannot be done so I need to send them some documentation.

USCIS kept on updating the total number of cases received for H-1B for FY 2009-10. However, the recent USCIS H-1B (http://www.h1b.biz/lawyer-attorney-1137085.html) cap count indicates decline in number of cases than what had been previously reported. The updated count reports the receipt of 44,400 �Regular� cap cases, by June 12, 2009 which is lesser than the prior count of 47,700, given as of May 22, 2009. There is no explanation too from USCIS for this decline in trend. Thus, this reduced number may reflect either withdrawals by employers, denials by the USCIS, duplicate filings, or an error in the prior cap counts.
As of this writing, both the Advanced Degree and Regular caps remain open. We will continue to provide updated H-1B cap count information.

I am working as a biomedical research fellow on a J1 visa for the last 3 years in a non-profit research institute but they cannot sponsor my H1B. I am planning to get a J1 waiver and apply for H1B as I plan to work in the private industry. I am not sure whether I can apply for H1B without an employment offer? My wife and I filed our I-485, EAD and AP on July 12th and the package arrived in NSC on July 13th. We have received all receipts and finished our FP about 10 days ago. I checked the online status and there are NO LUDs on any of our applications. All of them still show the ND of August 15th. I am EB3 ROW with PD Jan07. My I-140 is still pending at NSC.
My wife is currently on H-4 and she would like to work. Is she able to apply for a temporary EAD on October 15th, since it will already be 90 days since RD? If yes, how do we go about doing that?
Your experience and advice are very much appreciated!
