I don't agree with what mbawa2574 has to say,but I certainly disagree banning mbawa for expressing views. I think, mbawa2574 is well within limits of posting anything that could hurt IV image/goals. ( On this thread, I mean).
What's the damage caused to your effort?( apart from deleting threads )
I'd rather help channel his thoughts and energies in a direction that helps IV than ban him.

Have you tried asking Numbersusa, Programmers Guild and your employer about changing leadership? What makes this organization any different? Just because anyone can post anything on IV website to get visibility on the homepage, its not ok to abuse the resources of the organization. We did not create IV to promote democracy or freedom of expression, there are ample of other sites to promote democracy and freedom of expression, you are free to use those resource at your liking. IV website is for a single purpose of achieving the goals we have set for the organization. You can find our goals on the website. And anything that conflicts with our goal will be removed. Its easy to use terms like democracy, freedom of expression etc to defend actions that malign the good effort put in by others. To make things clear, IV's objective is not to promote or preserve democracy/freedom of expression. We have a goal to achieve and we will not deter from our goal, whatever it takes.

It appears there was a problem with the website status update. Today my attorney received a letter that my MTR has been approved. I guess my I-485 is back on track now.

Hello,
My EAD (based on I-485 for EB-3; PD - July 2003) expires in the first week of Nov and I applied for my renewal in August and got a notice stating that my application has been received and it will be processed.
I have not received the new EAD yet (status on the website says 'Initial review') and chances are that I may not get one before the current EAD expires.
Am I dead in the water? Both my wife and I need EAD as our H1 has expired and we have changed jobs.
Obviously I am worried sick,
Any help, pointers, suggestions are much appreciated.

Contact USCIS to expedite the case. Usually they do it 90 days after they received the case. After this do the following..
- Contact ombudsman office
- Contact local senator office.
- Contact local congressman office

I'm in the same hole. Oct'2003 is my PD EB2I. had interview 3 months back. Was waiting so eagerly for this day. no update on my case. While I see Dec'2004 cases getting approved. Why can't USCIS do some organization and issue green card purely by priority dates rather than at the mercy of the officer. Why should they make lives of poor immigrants and green card applicants as miserable and touch as possible? Can't do anything more than feeling bad. :-(
If your PD is current, try creating a service request. This will force IO to look at your case. If it is ready for approval, he would probably approve it.

You can write a balance-transfer-cheque to your own name (which you can deposit to your checkings account) of amount upto your credit limit on that credit card.
I had 25k credit limit on my credit card, so i could balance-transfer that much. usually if you have a 3-4 years credit history, you can call up the credit card company and ask them to raise your credit limit.
Balance transfers - 0% APR are generally good for 9 months to 1 year loan only. So you will have to repay within a year. But you can keep doing that for 2-3 years till you pay off your complete loan.

I've used employer A labor to get a 7th year extension while employed with employer B but I didn't have that RFE situation. Since, you are employed with employer A currently and got an RFE, asking for H1 transfer + 1 year extension could be tricky.

Consultants and Staffing Agencies: If the petitioner is, in any way , engaged in the business of consulting, employment staffing, or job placement that contracts short-term employment for workers who are traditionally self-employer, submit evidence to establish whether a specialty occupation exists for the beneficiary.
No matter whether the alien will be working within the employment contractor's operation on projects for the client or whether the alien will work at the end-client's place of business - uscis must examine the ultimate employment of the alien, and determine whether the postion qualifies as a specialty occupation. The Texas Service Center (TSC) provided updated information on their caseload and other important matters in a meeting with the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) liaison. The responses to questions, posed to TSC several months earlier, were released in late January 2010
The TSC reports that most of their pending I-485s have been pre-adjudicated. This means that the I-485 application has been reviewed and is simply awaiting availability of an immigrant visa number. These applications may have received requests for evidence (RFEs) if they required any documents or updated information for the pre-adjudication process

TSC reports a goal of adjudicating advance parole (AP) and employment authorization document (EAD) requests within 50 to 55 days. It notes there was a period during which EAD processing was slowed, and 15-20 percent of the cases were not adjudicated in 90 days. TSC states that this has been addressed, and it is expected that processing goals will be met or exceeded.

My I-140 and I-485 also has different A numbers. I had 2 more approved I-140s which has different A numbers as well. How and when will get consolidated to a single file?
Gurus who have more insight into this process, please enlighten us.

I think its ok to have different A#'s except when you are trying to get your I-485 adjudicated and you want to use the earliest PD from your multiple I-140's.

My case is little bit different.
EAD was approved on August 11th and I got the card in mail couple of days after I received the email. But, I haven't received the approval notice for my EAD yet. The status on the EAD shows that the approval notice was sent on August 13th. I had no issues with AP though.

On August 13, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION.
EAD was approved on August 11th and I got the card in mail couple of days after I received the email. But, I haven't received the approval notice for my EAD yet. The status on the EAD shows that the approval notice was sent on August 13th. I had no issues with AP though.

My understanding of the Neufled memo does not invalidate the question asked by Saarissimo. The memo refers to a person being the sole owner of a company. If the LLC in question is owned by X,Y and they then offer Saarissimo 33% of the company to own, then Saarissimo's employment in the LLC should fall under employer-employee relationship unless it is specifically written in the operating agreement that the company will cease to operate if Saarissimo is terminated from employment.
I know people on H1B sponsored by ABC LLC, and owning upto 2% of ABC. They have never had any problems, and are well on their way towards Green Card processing. Unfortunately, I do not know if the considerations change dramatically if ownership is 33% instead of 2%.
